Welcome to IAALM
The Institute of American Acupuncture and Life Medicine (IAALM) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit health organization that provides direct healthcare services and education to the disadvantaged and under-served of the St. Louis community. IAALM was founded in 2002 for the purpose of raising the quality of healthcare in the St. Louis metropolitan area by bridging the gap between alternative and conventional medicine, by providing the highest quality of acupuncture medicine to all regardless of ability to pay, by promoting consumer health education and by training professionals in the art and science of Energy Medicine. All regulatory fillings may be viewed at the Institute's administrative offices.
IAALM recognizes health as essential to life. We seek to advance understanding of the significance of individual health to the health of the whole community and advocate affordable and effective integrative healthcare for our community. We deliver health care to under-served people in the St. Louis area. We provide health education to the general public and professionals. We seek to advance the understanding of acupuncture.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends acupuncture as a first course of treatment for many conditions, yet qualified Oriental Medicine practitioners remain scarce. The practitioners who are available are often beyond the financial means of many who could benefit from acupuncture and Life Medicine. IAALM serves the public by offering low cost Life Medicine Acupuncture to those in need.
IAALM is goverened by a volunteer Board of Directors.
